Inventor Basil was invited to demonstrate his INVISA-BEAM bed monitor at the launching of the ACT Falls Prevention program. This event was held at Moreshead War Veterans Home where Simon Corbell the Minister for Health in the ACT, officially opened the program to a large and enthusiastic audience.

Basil was invited to demonstrate the INVISA-BEAM bed monitor to some 40 Occupational Therapists from the NSW Central Coast region at an Inservice at Gosford Hospital where much interest was shown.

INVISA-BEAM was a finalist in the Inaugural "Les Is More Award". Named after New Inventors judge Les Miller who sadly passed away to Leukemia earlier this year. The award is given to inventors who are motivated by the desire to help others.
